    Korobov was probably the best win as an amateur of GGG, it's crazy how he does extremely well against fighters like Lee (before the right hook) and solid guys like Uzcategui, but then he struggles a lot with journeymen.

    Yes it probably was his best win.

    AFAIA, Korobov has never been down. Lee's opponents usually get counted out or hit the deck hard when he catches them flush with that right hook of his and Korobov was still able to remain vertical during the follow up barrage Lee unleashed on him.

    Derek Edwards (aka the guy who iced Badou Jack in a round) caught him with a huge right counter bomb at the end of round one IIRC as Korobov rushed in recklessly trying to finish him off after hurting him. Korobov was out on his feet for the remainder of the round but that shot would've probably knocked out most fighters let alone dropped them. Korobov and Adonis Stevenson are the only two guys to have stopped Edwards and Edwards has fought some good guys in addition to Adonis, Jack, and Korobov. Andre Dirrell and Gilberto Ramirez being the best of them.

    Korobov is the only fighter to stop the teak-tough Ossie Duran. Duran has fought Khurtsidze (LMD12), James Kirkland (LUD10), Brandon Gonzales (LSD8), Fernando Guerrero (LMD10), Caleb Truax (D10). Korobov blew him out in 3 with ease.

    But then in other fights Korobov struggles against journeymen and looks like ****, which I've seen him do numerous times. Go figure

    3 cruiserweights have been confirmed: Briedis, Gassiev, Wlodarczyrk

    Strong rumours that Kudryashov, Dorticos, Makabu, Tabiti will be in as well, some rumours that Glowacki, Huck have applied.

    Usyk and Lebedev have declined.

    I'm not sure I understand the selection process. How can they commit to some boxers before all eight of them are known? If there are eight deemed to be more deserving of a spot at super middle than Groves would Groves be kicked off? And should Wlodarczyk definitely be top eight at cruiser? Was a definitive list made and enough at the top turned down the invite?

    Korobov has the most stacked amateur resume I've ever seen. Shame about his gas tank but he's a true ATG in amateurs.
    Happy to see Groves has stepped up, too. I hope we can get a full house.
