I think I was just far more optimistic than you, and probably had higher expectations.

If Eubank Jr doesn't sign up, I won't utter his name ever again, any **** can get in, surely he can

I'm having trouble finding an explanation about wild cards. Up to two wild cards are allowed per divisional tourney, right? They are clear that the requirement otherwise is the fighter must be ranked by one of the four major alphabets. Jamie Cox is not ranked, so there can't be more than one more unranked guy added. Korobov is ranked by the WBO.

In fairness Skoglund has never fought at 168 and is unranked at 168 so should be considered a wild card

But I kind of would prefer they bend the rules to make a stronger competition if possible

Korobov should get in if cox did

I assumed Skoglund was ranked, but you're right neither Cox or Skoglund are, so if there's only two allowed then every new fighter is supposed to be a ranked smw.

So far we have Groves, Cox and Skoglund. Groves is the only standout name so far, and I think Yildirim is a decent enough fighter. Skoglund and Cox don't really do anything for me, the 168 tournament not looking quite as strong as the Crusierweight tournament. However we still have 4 spots left so hopefully we get a couple of big names.

Eubank is calling out Groves. The wbss is the route to fight him, and Eubank is plenty qualified for the tourney.

WBSS said that there would be no announcement today, maybe tomorrow or the weekend though.

The WBSS event in Monaco is supposed to take place on July 7 or 8th. The clock is ticking
