actually the weakest in the tournament is probably the guy Gassiev is fighting lol. Kud would be 2nd weakest though.. the only guy I could see him beating would be mike perez or huck and that's only if he hit a ko punch.

 

Nah, gotta disagree with you on that. Wlodarczyk may be long in the tooth but he's still a more complete technician than Kudryashov. Kudryashov hits like a train but he has a horrendously porous defence. Wlodarczyk wouldn't have gotten hit so cleanly by the shot that Dorticos landed and I expect him to last more than two rounds with Gassiev.

 

I thought Kudryashov looked worried in the ring before the fight started, for good reason it would seem. lol

 

Fight went to Dorticos as I expected it to. Should've known it was gonna end that early!

 

Kudryashov had awful tactics in this fight. Invested in body shots, waited for Dorticos to tire, but he got knocked out in the process. He should have came out swinging in the first round, that was his only chance to win.

 

Just read the post fight comments. Very classy stuff from both fighters. DK offered no excuses, said he had a great camp coming in, & gave Dorticos full credit. Refreshing to see.

 

Dorticos knew he had to end things early because Dmitry was going to take him into deep waters!

I'd be very skeptical about christening Dorticos the new tourney fave over the likes of Briedis and Gassiev (or even Rebel Pérez), let alone Usyk.

He beat Kudra in a quick-draw, two-men-enter-and-whoever-lands-first-walks-out battle of the glass cannons (though deservedly so, he's the far more skillful of the pair and would probably get the KO in 7 or 8 encounters of ten, and get KTFO just once or twice himself) but I've long had misgivings about him, dating back to his tepid performance in an ugly anticlimax of a bout with injured journeyman Slick Willie Herring.
