We are fans of boxing, shouldn't we be at least diplomatic?

Well, to be honest I am quite uncomfortable with the Pac fans/non fans situation among other things that happens at ESB.

"A teaspoon of hype guarantees a teaspoon of backlash."

It's common, an outrageous comment about a fighter's skills or whatever he has whether real or percieved is usually countered by assaults that tackles his limitations and even questions his achievements in the ring.

Sometimes arguments turn to flame wars and flame wars ends up with ugly racial comments.

Look, everyone, Pac is a good fighter who is still young and has a lot of things to improve. I concede that. His career is also not yet over and he has a lot of things he can accomplish so it's really meaningless to put him in such outragouies match-ups that Pac really has absolutely no chance of winning (forum wise).

We fans love Pac, but we're not really, as you call "nuthuggers", some of us just have more than usual loyal support for our countryman. Guys like him don't come along too often too. And doesn't a lot of guys do it here at ESB? From Floyd to Klitschko to Calzaghe. Why not cut some Pac fans some slack?

Just a simple request from an old ESB member.

A voice of reason by SS24, but for the most part, it will go unheard.A lot of posters take issue with any critisism with their favorite boxers to the point of feeling it personally.A few around here seem to live vicariously through their favorite fighters, and actually send threatening e mails to their idols detractors. In an open forum, you will have to endure the ignorant, the arrogant, and the mentally challenged. Its worth it, because some of the posts are interesting and informative, and some priclessly funny.

Thats ok sugar, you'll notice that its the same people getting in each others nerves..you'll be surprised some even continue trashing each other in other threads! well i guess this is what keeps their passion for the sport going. As for most posters, they know the difference between the huggers and the fans, and they continue to love the pacman! i suggest you go and give your 2 cents and let them at it! lolz
