was given that decision v. Quintero. That man had potential. He schooled Broner on four days notice and almost doubled him in terms of punches landed. If he had got the deserved decision, I doubt Broner's profile would have ever got that high. In addition, Quintero had real potential to be an exciting Miguel Vasquez type. He saw the BS of boxing and quit like a G.

Don't stress, the post Maidana/broner plethora of memes more than makes up for it.

Someone should've fed him to Uchiyama when he was at 130 and he'd still be out cold now.

I'm glad I enlightened a lot of you all to this match, people tend to forget and or not even realize the Ponce De Leon match wasn't his first gift.

Just watched the fight for the first time, Quintero should have won. But its not like he looked like JC Chavez in that fight. If one split decision loss makes you quit boxing, you just didn't have the heart for it, it's as simple as that.

As far as DeLeon; no. Broner won like 8 rounds in that fight.

It's funny though, he's an athletic guy who has NO instincts for boxing at all, after 300 amateur fights and 30+ pro, he still doesn't look like a boxer, he looks like a kid playing around in the ring. He ought to give it a year or two with a new trainer, and if he can't improve just do something else with his life.

The dreadful part is that he quit boxing after that 1 loss. What a waste of potential but the business can do that to you.

Novikov quit after the Vargas debacle last year. Kotelnik hung them up after the Alexander robbery.

    No worries

He built up a hype so people knew about him but Maidana crushed it and bruised his ego in front of millions. That was satisfying to watch.

Uchiyama would have whooped him bad, but c'mon uchiyama is a beast he'd beat 99% of the the 130-135 back then besides crawford. He beats Mikey easy too. It's just a shame about how much potential was wasted in Broner. I lost money on him against Maidana but still had faith but then lost money on him against Porter. I'm never putting any amount of cash on this dude if he fights anyone half decent, he's too busy partying, and hanging out at the gym the nights before his fight.

Watching him lose is right on par with watching a fighter I like win. It will never get old. That being said I think it would have been better if we never had to put up with this clown. Luckily his stock has dropped a lot and will always lose to top competition
