Yep. Kownacki's active style will give a less than skilled but hard hitting Helenius many chances. Not sure if Helenius is in shape but as we saw he got his chance and BANG.

This is heavyweight boxing. Helenius wasn't picked for a title shot ( By Wilder , Fury or Joshua ) for a reason, and we just saw what that reason is.

I was never a big believer in Kownacki.

yep---the version that fought Brewster. It shows just how fast a guy can drop from top prospect to middle of the road. what a tight rope act it is in boxing

I took youth over experience. At first I had initially picked Robert but then kinda turned over to Kownacki's pressure style, how easy it could be to get inside on Helenius, body and head attack so on and so on. I knew it was gna be an interesting fight, also one I potentially labeled a "Barnburner". And from start to finish I think it delivered

It's called he can punch and take a punch, too much risk, not enough reward. Are you saying Helenius could not KO Joshua, Fury or Wilder.?

Helenius could be viewed as a the Max Bear of the times.

Why would Wilder or Joshua pick a guy like Helenius who could KO them for a title fight? They picked some really soft touches, that is my point.

If Gerald Washington KO'd Helenius, imagine what Wilder and Joshua would do to him

Doesn't it depends on who lands their bomb first? Helenius has been durable in many fights.

Eh Feel like these guys are a clear step above. And I'd bet on them to land their bombs first. He'd been KO'd by lesser people before.
May have a decent chin but a KO loss to Washington should have some question marks around it.

Helenius was never the most serious person about boxing. But he's ap puncher in a flawed land of mediocre chined champions so...

    SAKE.

First few rounds I thought business as usual. And then blam, the reason why I tend to watch cards that aren't that great on paper anyway. The succulent upset!

Why would they pick him at all? He's been absolutely atrocious since his injury, dog**** bad, he hasn't won a meaningful fight since 2011! Picking Helenius for a title shot even now would be a disgrace to boxing, having picked him before would have been a shooting offence.

The "no wonder Helenius didn't get picked for a title shot" attitude is dumb as bricks.

Comparing him to heavyweight champion Max Baer is literally one of the stupidest things i've ever read on this forum.
