Pryor knocks back a career high purse yet Ray ducked?

 

I did watch that video ( As a matter of fact, I watched that fight when it first happened) and all it did was confirm the fact that Leonard wasn't serious about a fight. Putting forth a offer like that was very disrespectful and intended for Aaron to reject. On the other hand, Mayweather offered Pac 40 million and people were saying that it wasn't enough. All I'm attempting to do is show the similarities between Mayweather and Leonard's careers. They are both great fighters and I don't think Mayweather takes a back seat to Leonard. :bbb

 

You are a ******. Took it out of context. Floyd said that about Margarito, about he is unknown and not even considered as the best WW. So they would not be fighting to see who is the best. -meaning the best WW.

Because Leonard has the strongest resume of the last 35 years in a mainstream sense.

I know where you're going Manfred but it doesn't stack up.Just because they were both the premier attractions of their day and everyone wanted the paycheck that they brought,does not mean for a second that you can compare Floyd-Pac to Leonard not fighting Pryor(who refused a generous offer)
There was a time when you could argue that Pac deserved equal billing.The only reason mainstream/casual fans knew about Pryor was because of ther bottle.

 

Floyd doesn't fight to prove he is the best because he has proven it for years. You want the throne? Go take it from him.

 

Well that's fair enough. But then he needs to shut his mouth and stop claiming to be the greatest fighter who ever lived. It's an insult to guys like SRL and Tommy etc.

He can't have it both ways, and before anyone says he's not serious, I believe he is. I don't think it's for the camera's. I think he genuinely believes it.

 

This has to stop. Floyd offered Manny 40 mil with NO PPV percentage, in what would have been the biggest grossing fight EVER! Manny (and I don't really like him) was never going to accept that to make Floyd more than DOUBLE that amount. It was a joke of an offer!

If Ray, Tommy, and Duran were prime welters now, Floyd would be on a permanent holiday. He'd spend more time away than a holiday rep.
