One of the greatest sides to ever play the game. You're an insult to sports.

You have got to be kidding. You think prime Robinson would have problems beating Mayweather, Pac or Bradley? Unbelievable the things you read on here.

I didn't say he wouldn't beat them, I said he would have trouble beating them... just not as easily as you would like to tell yourself.

    a development in sports?

well not all sports have developed and that goes for peds aswell.

it was either swimming or athletics, where world records were erased, as the new generation, the new breed and the advanced ones, couldnt beat the former generations records. The new breed were SO FAR BEHIND, that the men in charge said **** it, those records wont be broken, so we will start from beginning again.

shouldnt that be impossible, if todays athletes have access to better training, better supplements and even better peds?

i´ll just add, that those records were set by swimmers/athletes from the old DDR - east germany - and were set in the 80´s.

He had the pace, the balance and the unique technique.

If he played today, he would had to have been fitter and in better shape than he was in the 60's. There's no doubt about it. I'm in full agreement there.

But once you'd gotten him to the point where he was as fit and as strong as everyone else in the team, you'd still have a genius in your team who could ghost past defenders.

Are you saying that George couldn't be transported straight in today's game, or are you saying that he couldn't have played in today's game at all, regardless of how fit he was?

This is a great debate, I'm enjoying it.

Tell me why George couldn't play in today's game, if a few adjustments were made?

The only issue would be his fitness, and him turning up late for training, or missing sessions.

Once that was dealt with, there wouldn't be an issue.

Are you seriously saying that Rocky wouldn't even have been competitive against today's CW's and HW's?

    I think that's absurd.

Yes, if he was born 40 years later, then yes, he would be one of the greats today, because he'd be training at playing at modern standards and have his natural ability to boot.
He may also have had better education early about the negative effects of alcohol etc.
There isnt the same drinking culture amongst professional players now as there was in the 70s.

Im arguing that if you put him in a time machine and took him from the 70s and brought him to 2014 and put him straight on the field for United, he wouldnt be able to compete.

BTW, everybody gets why the running gag about "Marcus" (as Mike calls him) being a closeted homo is so funny, right?

I respect your opinion, but I think you could transport him straight to today's era and he'd clean out the division.

Unlikely. But thats just your opinion and going by the things you said , your opinion doesn't mean much.

2014 Germany was a great team but they played in probably the weakest World Cup of the last 30 years.

All the top nations lost their best players and the rest were still worn out and saving themselves for the leagues.

Brazil were horrendous this year. The worst Brazilian side in 80 years.

Spain who were the best in the world went out early doors.

There is nothing to suggest Germany would beat 1970 Brazil . The side regarded as one of , if not the best to ever grace the sport.

Your opinion is just plain wrong.
