    Chagaev and Povetkin had little to no head movement. But you have a point some of the old timers are over the place but how does a Rocky Marcino do in todays era ?

    I predict Mike back in his day would have beaten both Klitschkos .

    Although Vitali is the one he needs to watch out for .

    Boxing is based more on skill than athletic ability. Some of the boxers today may be more athletic but the skill level on the whole certainly has decreased.

    But boxer from europe are at the top in a lot of division ATM, the US isn't the only place where there are good boxers anymore, which is good, no ?

    boxers have never been the best athletes. the toughest guys in hockey, basketball,football, etc, have never been the best players.

    Boxers today train far less and fight far less and the effects of this are obvious.

    The things you see from top fighters in the 40s and 50s on film are not optical illusions.

    It's only a mystery is one is mentally incapable and the thread starter is already a proven ret@rd. People and life always improve, better strategies come out, better techniques, ideas, systems...etc. Nothing remains the same not even the rules.

    and the record for the fastest high school kid running the 100m is 10 seconds, so yes it does make a huge difference. however mike isn't that far from wlad's era, so the difference wouldnt be huge, mike would ko wlad.
