We give rounds to Mayweather, but not to Lamont Peterson

I agree. I also thought the 10-2 card for Mayweather was pretty bad. He was anemic with his punch output in just about every round but still managed to take 10 of them.

I had Peterson beating Garcia (just), and Mayweather clearly beating Pac - if Floyd was anaemic, Manny was positively haemophiliac. I thought Mayweather, bar two rounds, was the more positive fighter, he might have clinched, but he was also stepping in and landing- imposing himself. I had hoped Manny would be a superior version of Maidana: not just aggressive, but effectively aggressive, not just throwing lots of punches, but throwing lots of clean punches. Instead, it was a repeat of the Alvarez fight: Manny following Floyd around the ring like a lost child pursuing someone who vaguely resembles a parent: always moving forward but never engaging .

:deal Although I thought Garcia won a close one because Peterson gave away early rounds. Peterson was clearly the better fighter.

Pac was actually coming forward and throwing punches though. Like every Mayweather opponent, they have to move forward otherwise their is no fight. Mayweather just ran or clinched (and won rounds doing that). He never once hurt Pacquaio, who was completely unmarked after the fight. And Mayweather didn't throw a lot of punches either, so I guess they both were pretty anemic with their output.

I agree that Manny fought a dumb fight. He should have taken a page out of Kovalev's book from the Hopkins fight and thrown shots at Mayweather than backed out. Instead he allowed himself to be tied up and smothered his shots.

Either way it was a **** fight from both fighters.
