I really enjoyed it. I expected it to be dramatic like most of us and it delivered. Damn shame for Price, gives great fights but always losing hard. Price seems like great guy.
I dont know why i felt sorry for Price after the first knockdown, geniunely got pretty sad looking at him slapping the ground in dissapointment and getting up.
The skysports commentary team nearly ruined it for me. God, they fellate British boxers more than any ball washers in the states. That first tap Price gave at the end of round 1 and that jackass says he staggered him. Bull****. Then in like round three Povetkin floors Price but gets knocked back against the ropes in the final seconds. They didn't even show Povetkin getting the knockdown in the replays. Disgusting partisanship. Disgusting. I watched the Showtime coverage of Joshua vs Parker afterwards and even that puke Malignaggi didn't irritate me that much. I'd rather listen to those boring hacks over at ESPN than Skysports. How is doofus Jim Lampley over at HBO the gold standard?
It was a helluva match. I was on the edge of my seat for every second of every round. Even Wilder - Ortiz wasn't quite that intense.
