I think he said it was a good fight or something. Golovkin doesn't really do a lot of talking. He thinks Kov won the fight.
During Abel's interview after the fight in the arena Golovkin was speaking with Kovalev in the background where he said that 4 rounds is maximum what Ward deserved. Also I think that GGG can out outpoint, outbox and KO Ward. You can say whatever you want but Kovalev is worser in every segment except size and what Kovalev was able to do, GGG will do much better.
I wouldn't write Golovkin's chances off, I think he's a brilliant fighter, but 15 pounds is a lot of extra weight to get used to carrying, if he's fighting anyone at 175 he's perhaps not going to adapt well at this age and stage in his career.
size/length was a big reason kovalev had success...and i dont mean that like kovalev isnt a good boxer.....but its pretty clear once ward was able to figure some things out he was a bit better of a boxer than kovalev IMO....i think kovs early success was because of his size and it just being early in general
good thread and good point why come nobody is asking ggg about ward?...i mean...i get it...we all wanna see a kova/ward rematch....but why wont the media press ggg about ward fight.....didnt sanchez say something about his guy beating 175 guys....and how he drops kovalev with a body shot in sparring? these guys dont want ggg to address ward...then theyll have to put 2 and 2 together and get golovkin="i dont wanna fight him".....
What would ggg have to worry about from ward after that pathetic showing. Ward is a poor man's John Ruiz.
well...what ggg would worry about is losing his 0...knowing a bigger, stronger, man had ward rocked and couldnt put him away...and then lost the rest of the fight....thats probably what ggg would worry about...which is why he isnt mentioning ward and the boxing media isnt asking ggg about ward they are helping to hide him from the question of ward too....its pretty obvious.... ward just had his biggest fight in years....a real big fight...he came away the winner...and nobody in the boxing media will mention ggg/ward...i mean, i get it, we all want a kova/ward rematch no doubt....but people wont even mention it...."oh ward too big anyway...thats crazy"....ward is now "relevant" and brings some money.... meanwhile ggg been chasing welters...and actually fighting them...LOL
I don't think GGG has anything to worry about fighting ward. I cant think of one great thing that Ward did in that fight apart from surviving 12 rounds. GGG is secretly thinking "I would destroy this fool"
yet you wont demand ggg to ask for the fight! guaranteed ...if ward called ggg out youd say "not fair GGG too small for ward"...
Great another alt. And I thought it was the Kovalev fans tat were going to be springing up alleged alts if he lost according to Ward's 5 fans. Instead more Ward related alts seem to have come from no where.
so Odin...how do u feel about this guys claims that ward is now easy work for GGG? also...since my valid thread got deleted....i have another question for you....after ggg/brook ggg said that brook tried to make it a street fight.....did u see anything from brook that suggested it was a dirty fight that resembled anything close to a street fight???
Maybe the left uppercut he didn't see coming that buckled him made him think Brook gave him a dirty shot or something?
I never saw a single hold, attempted takedown or any of the so called ATG skills that Ward was showing. Remember he had to get " grimy" because the alleged master boxer was being out boxed.
i made a thread this afternoon suggesting EE fighters only like to fight at "ideal range"....i cited ward/kova....loma/salido and gggs quote ....and it was deleted......this is how sad this site has become.....you say anything negative about one of their heros and they delete it...i made a valid point....i asked what brook did that was dirty or suggested a street fight.....and that quote came from golovkin right in the ring after the right.....and yet ...no responses other than personal insults and a deletion.....place is full of twhats
