I think it's a real good styles clash. I fancy Bradley to be too smart, fresh and durable to be kept on the end of JMM's P4P no.1 combination punching, and that he will make slight movements to keep his snappy jab landing and stop JMM building mich of a rhythm.

Bradley to sneak a points win whilst possibly being badly hurt at some point. JMM could well pull it out though, he's the far more proven fighter and knows every punch in the book, as well as being nigh on impossible to take out and having arguably the best timing in the sport today.

 

Gary Shaw doesn't have the power with HBO.... who seem to just do what Oscar wants and tolerate Bob Arum who's got the biggest and best stable.

That leaves Showtime for Shaw and DiBella (who's a top man IMO).

Marquez wouldn't be a fight I'd choose for Bradley.... not because he can't win it, I just wouldn't fancy him to and he could quite easily get badly beaten - not many fighters are the same after being in with JMM. He's like a mini Hopkins or Trinidad in that respect.

He's the sort of fighter that will have to earn his stripes rather than having them handed on a plate - it's a question of whether he has the desire to do that...... I think he has, but time will tell.

He'll stop Alexander and look a million dollars doing it.

 

I fancy him to do the business with Alexander and all. Alexander plays right into his hands and Bradley isn't one dimensional enough for Alexander to implement the perfect gameplan against, like he did against Urango. I don't think Alexander really has the power to hold Bradley off and stop him making it rough if he wants to.

I think Bradley has way more ways to win than Alexander. I don't know what attributes Devon can summon to beat Bradley!

Good points about TV/promotional **** too Luke. As I said before, I think Bradley appears adaptable enough not to get ruined if the going got tough against JMM.

 

Alexander is no push over though guys. I think he is a good fighter, who had an off night.

 

I think he is. Decent fighter who had a good night. I also found him uninspiring and sloppy against Witter.

 

Bradley has come in massively...... most bookies are pricing him up at 4/9, with the decision at 8/11. For the stoppage you are looking at between 9 and 11/2.

I do think Alexander is fairly decent, it wouldn't be the biggest shock if he pulled something off. I hope Timbo can get through this one, but I expect him to have to work hard for this and I think there'll be a few scares as well. Devon can hit fairly hard and he's very quick when he wants to be.

Bradley vs JMM would be amazing!!! That would be guaranteed excitement I think, the only thing that would be a killer is i would have no idea who to root for. I'm really hoping Bradley can turn into something good, so i'd want him to keep going, but you bet against JMM at your peril.

 

Did you know Bradley-Alexander isn't even a real unification fight? If Bradley wins he don't become WBC champion! It was no surprise the IBF wouldn't sanction this fight but this **** really pisses me off!

So much for unification fights being a priority now...

Yep, I knew. **** the WBC, whoever wins that belt under those circumstances will be the definition of a paper champion.

 

Maybe Khan could get a shot if he faces the winner? Not that, that makes any sense but since when did that matter?

 

It'll make no difference. If Bradley beats Alexander and then Khan fights Bradley then the winner will be the #1 in the division and the WBC belt will be irrelevant in that division.

 

Every proper boxing fan will know that but it's not really the point...

 

It is to me though. Giving that belt any credence after Alexander/ Bradley/ Khan pans out is just playing the WBCs game. It'll be a joke title at 140.
