Ive been rewatching and his fights and i noticed that he actually kinda chokes in his biggest fights. He looked overwhelmed in GGG 1. He was nervous in GGG 2. And he didnt look like the world beater that he is against Plant. I guess even the greats are still human after all, I cant imagine having my entire legacy just hinge on every fight. We all know he is capable of great things, he shows major stretches of it in the fights where he didnt look perfect. Canelo at his best looks scary af, because even at lets say 75% with all the nerves he still can beat some pretty good fighters. Do you guys see it too? well actually we havent seen it yet i guess lmao
This statement may very well be true. But we may never. He is probably at the peak of his powers, but he continues to fight no-hopers. It's possible a fight with one of the 3 Bs could bring a career-peak, superlative performance imo, but do any of those fights appear likely? As far as the text of the OP, it's a bunch of nonsense imo. What do you want him to look like? What exactly are you expecting? When was the last time he was actually in danger of losing a fight? He's been beating his recent opponents on about 80% capacity. Or less. And manhandling them. He has not been full on since the last GGG fight. Imo his best performances were vs Cotto and the GGG rematch. Maybe that's the best Canelo we'll ever see.
I think he peaked in GGG2 In the last few fights he's adopted this new style though so hard to compare. He's been fighters that he can afford to come forward, take a couple on the way in, then let rip, often missing massively. Let's see if he fights the same against Beterbiev or anyone with power
