Forget about Canelo for a moment and concentrate on Kovalev's performance in that fight. Can anyone say he'd have beaten a fighter in the top 15 in any sanctioning body's ratings?

No. It was a fairly easy pick.. a 36 year old offensive minded reflex fighter coming off two (almost 3) recent KO losses on a 10 week turnaround.. it was little more than another Martinez Cotto.. anyone can see that.. throw in Canelos many asterisks & it was a done deal.. ellerbe is just trying to bolster Floyds legacy.. cash out fight by a fighter that has had numerous personal, trainer & discipline issues & is now at the end of his career.. not all fighters age the same.. it's clear Kovalev was a shell & was almost taken out by Yarde.. great boxer but he's lost many of his note worthy attributes..

Canelo has NEVER legitimately beaten GGG & never would without his protectors making sure he never loses again
