The thing is, while Marg is susceptible to basically any punch due to his wide open "defense," he still has a considerable size and strength advantage, and if Pac decides to get inside of Tony's long arms and throw quick and short punches to his midsection, Tony might wear him down.

    Thoughts?

I'd like to see the bodypunching he showcased against Clottey again. Then again, Clottey wasn't throwing back.

It would definately help. Mosley did very well with the body attack. I would highly recommend it. Specially with those rumors of Margarito struggling with the weight.

Cotto was a better body puncher than Pacquiao and he struggled to get them shots in.

Mosley had great success at getting to Margo's body. IMO it should be the focus of Pac's attack but I doubt it will because he's such a head hunter.

I'm not sure he tried that much though, especially when he noticed how easy it was to hit Margo with flush punches on his chin.

It's just that over time, Margo wore him down with shots to the body and possibly loaded gloves.

I don't really think Pac is ever really going to have Margo hurt, I think he's just going to continuously beat him to the punch then get away. And win of points.

Yep, that's what I've thought too....I think the gameplan is to keep turning Margo, pile up points, and dont get caught in exchanges on the ropes...Margo will come forward get tagged, and Pacquiao will move out of harms way most of the time....

If Margo can close the distance, he has a real chance....Ricky got killed, but he still closed the distance quite well, but Hatton had quick feet...

I remembered reading, Cotto was asked why he didnt throw body punches and he replied it was difficult. But this is from memory on ESB so it aint a reliable source.

Maybe because Margarito throws continuos punches with pressure from a height his opponent doesnt risk going for the body but responds with counter punches to the head.
