Just watched the fight at work while on break. Impressive performance from Canelo. Underwhelming performance from Charlo. Was rooting for Charlo, but this was a mismatch from the get go.

Canelo likes to be fed B level guys. Hes a top fighter, who is without doubt overrated, but still a top level fighter. Put him in with PBC level guys and hes the green hulk.

Against the top level guys like Bivol or GGG and he shows his true level. Beterbiev would send him to the hospital.

Were we supposed to? We all know what Canelo is by now .. Beating Charlo doesn't prove anything.

The American media was going crazy. Saying this was Charlo's coming out party. I remember when Bivol clowned Canelo that some talking head came on TV and said that was a stupid fight and that nobody cared about Bivol. Dude said Charlo "deserved" that fight against Canelo and not Bivol. Cant make this up.

We learned that he doesn't have stamina issues anymore, or at least not in this fight. He apparently fixed the leaky gas tank which is important for him moving forward. Canelo was standing between rounds, he had spring in his step even in the late rounds, he was not gassing much at all. His stamina was the one problem area for Canelo, which doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. That's scary for his future opponents. A Canelo with no stamina issues at this stage in his career, with all the experience under his belt, is possibly an unbeatable fighter.

A win against a guy in his first and last fight at this weight division proved nothing for sure. It only proved what a pathetic cherry picker Clenelo is…
