What Oscar is doing is what every great promoter before him did, he's postponing to make the fight bigger and inevitably make a lot more money for both fighters. Leonard did it with Hagler, Mayweather did it with Pacquiao, Tyson did it with Lewis...etc.

I hate how they're throwing in Jacobs vs GGG and Stevens/Lemieux vs Canelo to soften the public outcry. As if they can force those fighters to play along with their negotiations.

Obviously if those fights were able to happen then it would be great and most people would be fine with it but realistically we can't assume that's how it will go down.

Nah, that is just DLH trying to get Canelo out of this beating, but Team GGG won't accept any step aside deals anymore.

Oscar knows time isn't on GGG's side.

Horrible, make the fight in September and be over with it!

Keep marinating it and risk Canelo getting caught by Lemiuex!

We were told Monday by a source with knowledge of the situation that possible interim fights before the Canelo-GGG super fight were being discussed. Now we’re hearing from another credible source that the topic of interim fights before the big middleweight unification showdown hasn’t been discussed. In any event, Canelo-GGG is already the most anticipated fight in boxing, so let’s hope the fight is made as soon as possible.

I don't pay attention to these articles. Do you guys remember what was being reported for May/Pac? People from ESPN where even reporting that they were getting "inside info" that negotiations were falling apart or the fight wasn't happening.

If what was being reported for the may/pac negotiations were true, then we wouldn't have a fight.

Best piece of advice is, with all the "supposed" negotiation info, as long as GBP and K2 remain dead silent then it's a GOOD sign - regardless of what inside scoops "journalists" are saying.

    There you go.

They lose credibility. Bad look. "One credible source said this, another credible source said this". Hint: they don't have credible sources on the situation. Dont listen to the hype.

Again, as long as K2 and GBP remain dead silent, then it's a positive sign. Negotiations are best dealt with behind closed doors and out of the publics' eyes.

K2 and GBP agreed to not negotiate via media, but I bet the first "credible source" was from GBP, and the second was from K2.

I really don't care about any article written by Dan Ambrose or any other one of his pseudonyms.

In another year, GGG is going to hit the wall of his prime and start to fade quickly. I bet you Oscar is going to wait till then.
