I agree. (Good post) That said... But at the same time ALOT of hypocrisy going on in this thread. So it's not cool to show a pic of Williams, But alright to have dozens of Margarito pics, Well granted not KTFO like Willy but with his busted socket...
Exactly what I was going to say. I agree with what he's saying, but it's a bit rich that these words are coming from his direction.
If Paul Williams came out to the media, and said "Mayweather is better than pacquiao" You'd be spitting hate, abuse, and nonsense at the guy for about 6 months. Pacquiao groupies just need to respect the sport more, full stop.
You got to respect all pugilists. Whether you personally like them or not. All these guys calling fighters "cowards" and "wimps" and mocking their personal problems. All I'll say is: 1: There isn't anything much more cowardly than abusing a guy who'd put you in hospital, if you tried doing it to his face, from the safety of a computer screen. 2: I hope you don't believe in Karma, as life is hard, and you don't need people laughing at you, and abusing you when you're having a hard time.
I agree. Its ridicolous how some "fans" can discredit a fighter if he loses or has a bad night in the ring.
The real fight fans do respect the fighters and what they do for the fans. Real fight fans don't go off on crazy conspiracy theories trying to discredit other fighters who they don't like. Real fight fans to don't claim that a fighter is "exposed" simply because they lost a fight. Real fight fans don't spend all their time propping up one fighter. The truth is, there just aren't that many real fight fans on this forum...
Can we take it that we've seen the last usage of 'Pacroid' from divac with his newfound 'respect' for fighters?
people will respect who they choose to. this is a forum and i highly doubt random posts of hatred, mockery, or stupidity can be eradicated. personally, i don't find anything worth disrespecting or mocking pwill for. he got hit cleanly by one of the top fighters today. you can say his defense sucks. but hey this is boxing, not everyone's perfect. i'm interested to see how pwill gets back on his feet inspite of the setback. blatant, premeditated stupidity to suit hate agenda though should be more of a concern. has it always been like this even during the time of duran, leonard, et al? duran suffered a loss from a devastating ko too. was the crowd this tough on him back then?
That's got nothing to do with having respect for him. Anyone who lets their opinion and respect for him as a fighter alter because of his fans is quite frankly a total cockend.
Oh please. Some of you fanboys make me want to throw up. Nobody asked Williams to get in the ring and get knocked out. Like any entertainer, if he wants to get paid, he better be prepared to take the criticism. Back in my day, boxing fans weren't AFRAID to criticize, they weren't such a punch of pansies, whining for fights to be stopped too soon, bitching because somebody criticized their heroes. Today, many boxing fans seem to wear blinders (or panties.)
