Usually biased refs at least try to make it not look too obvious, tonight was just blatant 1 sided reffing
He was dog****. Haney was hugging for 10/36 minutes of the fight as per usual and no warning. Ryan pokes a cheeky jab when Haney is hurt and wont let go after the break and it's -1 point. Terrible.
No warnings for nonstop holding. Doesn’t warn Haney when he won’t let go. Allowing Haney to hit Ryan’s back. Stopping the action to warm both guys about holding when Haney was holding on for dear life after getting knocked down. Didn’t count a number of KDs. One of the worst reffing jobs I’ve ever seen.
Yeah, terrible. Missing those KD calls could be chalked up as a bad night, but letting Haney get away with all that holding and that unjustified point deduction really showed bias
No one going to mention Garcia turning his back? Dock probably was biased or even corrupt, but he is also just incompetent.
Obviously corrupt. He did everything in his power to protect Haney. Good thing that wasn’t enough to take the fight away from Garcia.
He was just paid off. No need to say anything else. Typical Boxing performance by a corrupt official being paid to do a job for 1 of the fighters. And they won't do a s**** about it. Even though Garcia won, this guy should have been investigated. The moment you start every exchange without throwing punches, warning, second time point deduct, 2 more time and DQ. It's that simple. This is Boxing, not family reunion or Wrestling. There was also a plenty of kidney shots, which are dangerous and completely illegal. You cannot hit the side of the back, let alone the back part. Absolutely atrocious. And btw i'm not a fan of either guys. I just want a fair fight and officials, but i'm in the wrong sport obviously.
One of the more pathetic moments in boxing I've seen, with a borderline concussed Haney crawling on the floor and the ref claiming he just keeps slipping.
Dock was nervous when Haney got knocked down the first time and couldn’t deduct a point from Garcia fast enough. He then refused to call the additional knockdowns’. Yes, Dock was blatantly biased towards Haney.
Dock used to be a good referee but he has now been corrupted by the powers that be and will continue getting the big assignments as long as he protects the house fighter.
Honestly, let’s just boycott any judge that doesn’t penalize a flagrant Vladimir Klitschko level holder. We need to get this hacked out of boxing and make a big stink anytime. Any judge wants to allow fighters that are inferior with regards to technique and boxing ability to rely on their athleticism and cheating to compete at the world level. Is bad for the sport and Devon fighters need to get points taken from them when they break the rules.
