I’m not watching the Crawford fight and in fact I will never watch Crawford or Spence fight ever again unless they fight each other. I’m tempted to do the same to Fury but he has a slightly better excuse than them two cause Joshua and Usyk seem like there ducking him (though these days we never really know who’s ducking who). But we really need to punish these boxers by not buying their ppv and not buying their tickets. They need to understand if they don’t fight the best they won’t get the cash or the support from the fans.

I'm sympathetic to your sentiments and agree the marketplace should decide. People should vote with their wallets. Boxing is a corrupt dirty mess of a business (like pretty much all human endeavors) and frankly the shenanigans somehow make it more interesting for me.

Your argument is based on the boxing fan being the target audience for this ****.

lot more money to be made from the sweet Caroline mob than boxing fans

This is the problem with boxing. They will still get paid, loads.

Tank Davis is a millionaire and he's never once been a legitimate champ.

It's another reason why UFC is far superior

I personally think the sanctioning bodies should be stepping in more.

    Teach a lesson to boxers?

Uhm...try to teach fundamentals to Beyonce Wilder, you would be remembered as the best trainer ever and in a short time you would become millionaire. Lol

It’ll take a while but the market is definitely about to reset soon. Showtime is through paying for second rate product from PBC and even DAZN is done with the Andrade fiasco. The less these bogus PPVs are purchased the quicker we’ll get to fighters wanting real challenges. Errol Spence and Crawford’s next PPVs should do less than 25k.

As time pass Dana White’s statement of “They treat every fight like a going out of business sale” is looking more and more true with every undeserving PPV.

Across all levels of boxing the vast majority of fighters want to pit themselves against the best. They are not too scared to fight or are cowards, anyone stepping in that ring has far more guts than me. Its not the boxers that need penalising but the culture of boxing instead. It is the culture which has put the emphasis on being undefeated or having too many losses does damage to a fighters reputation. That is not just casuals, I have read a lot of posts on here writing fighters off. Joe Joyce was a stupid plank of wood who was useless according to some, now he has become an unstoppable machine. Promoters are advising fighters based on what sells and unfortunately they need the masses to buy PPV to make the money. The masses at the moment are only hooked on so called invincible fighters or those without a loss or an interesting back story. They are essentially delivering what the masses are asking for- protect fighters so they continue to pull out decent ppv numbers without killing off their aura of invincibility too much. It sucks and it really needs to change but not just the fighters, promoters, and governing bodies, the fans mentality as well.

In theory its a good idea but it just wouldnt work in reality. Not enough people would go along with it.

Exactly my point. No one had Pedraza ranked number 1 in the world when Tank won his trinket.

Instead he should have only gained recognition for facing the number 1.
