Pac is the best thing to come out of the filipines since anything, so ofcourse theres gonna be some crazy people. Pac has also made alot of real boxing fans and is an idol for young filipino prospects. At my job theres filipinos that dont know **** bout boxing but when mannys gonna fight they all talk bout it, but then theres filipinos who really know there stuff my coworker is Donaires cousin and they just opened up a gym. All I gotta say is that ofcourse a filipino is gonna be a lil biased towards one of their own its natural. Sometimes I cant stand *******s but atleast they are are talking about the sport I would hate to see it fade.

 

I'm sure there is a lo of flips that are fans only of pac and not of the sport. That's the case with any fighter that carries a country with him. Remember when Freitas was on top? He was a god in brazil. His face was all over billboards and the whole country stood still to watch him fight much like what happens now with pac in the phillipines.

That being said pacman has a ton of fans (such as myself) that are not filipino and he has earned them through his accomplishments in the ring.

 

I think we should wait Pac to finish his career before rating him. I don't particularly like him but if he beats Cotto(I don't believe he will) I think top 20 ATG is not impossible for him. The Pac fans that says he is better than Duran are not so many on this forum. But some times Pac fans will insult you only because you don't share there opinion. They are not all like that but I think there are a bit more ignorant Pac fans that any other fighter fans. But maybe with time they will learn more about boxing. This is not atomic physics after all )

 

i think posters like uliuli should read this. its not only flips that support pac. his accomplishments deserve respect.

 

that hes way blown out of proportion he was nowhere near as popular as people make him out to be he was well known in the region where he came from but in the rest of the country he wasnt that well known, Boxing is not a big sport in Brazil even MMA is much more popular there than boxing
