I give Max Kellerman credit for his pre-fight comments, which I thought were good. But I think Larry Merchant's commentary tonight would likely have been better than the fight itself.
yeah, he would tell it like it is!! he woulda start the interview like "Bernard............you said,...... you would not loose,..... to a white boy,......... What happened?"
Merhant bwould have had the guts, unlike Kellerman, to show Nard that he pulled Joes' head down with his left, and Joes' glove with his right hand, to turn the body shot into a low blow....he followed up with other devious attempts the the true fans booed, and saw right thru
Harvey Keitel should have been there instead of Kellerman. I'm telling you guys, Keitel is the perfect guy to follow Merchant.
We already knew that it was going to be an ugly fight; we don't need Merchant reminding us about it for consecutive rounds.
Would have been plenty of time to listen to his long, boring anecdotes while we waited for Cortez to pry Hopkins off of Calzaghe and when Hopkins was recovering from the phantom Golota shot.
