I know all these promotions do the same nonsense, but maybe the rest will take notice once they see Top Rank take a hit. It appears that only we can change this from happening over and over again. What do we hear all the time? Same ol' thing... "It's ruining our sport of boxing..." Blah, blah. They say the same thing every time but nothing ever changes. We have the power if we stick together.
I never buy Top Rank PPV's. All of the fighters on Top Rank are Arum's bitches. They become his ***** and in turn if they perform badly in a fight Bob saves them and gives them the UD win.
Why the hell would I refuse to watch the likes of pac, rios etc? You're talking some of the biggest names in boxing, I not only refuse to boycott, i'll actively seek to watch top rank fights.
I don't buy bad fights, regardless of the promotional company involved. I didn't buy Pac vs. Clottey or Moseley the same as I didn't by Mayweather vs. JMM. I would never pay to watch a Klit fight online, either. Conversely, I will go out of my way to support a good card, regardless of the promotional company involved. That is the way to use your money as your voice. Let the promoters know matchups, not names, are the key.
I don't pay for them. I live in San Diego and Time Warner Latino package gives all the fights for free. I just go down to Chula Vista where a lot of my buddies have this package and watch for free, plus free carne asada tacos and beer. **** Arum and TR.
We pay boxnation, we aren't the people to make a difference Good, PPV shouldn't exist, but because it can it does.
I agree!:thumbsup Ali used to be on national TV. Put, what are now PPV cards on regular HBO and Showtime. Put everything else on CBS or ESPN.:thumbsup
Exactly, unfortunately PPV will always exist because people will buy it, and there will always be people willing to make money of it.
Nobody has one bit of proof there is something shakey going on. Bad judging does not deserve a promotional company to be banned, if that's what this is about. Commissions appoint judges, not promoters. We know Bobby likes to keep business in house, but this is business and the idea is to make the most money, if you want to boycott him for his decisions on fights fine, I choose to keep watching fights because to me that is what being a fan is all about. Most of the fights fans want to see that are logical, come to pass at some point, everyone seems to forget that. Poor decisions are just part of the sport, none of us like them, but we have to learn to accept them and move on when it happens, because likely if you are in this sport long enough, you will have one go in your favor, and one at least go against your favor. It happens.
