We should create our own sanctioning body here on ESB

It still makes me sad that it didn't take off better. The 2nd month turnout was awful. I do think if Admin had been willing to help -- posting the rankings as a sticky at the top of the page, as a constant reminder -- and nursed the project along for a few months to boost initial numbers, it would have had a chance.

At any rate, I loved the beginnings of it and really enjoyed the effort to get it off the ground, if only briefly.

You are correct that it is a huge undertaking.

A few points to note though - Floyd has to be champ at Welter and #1 P4P, I'd probably still have Witter in my LWW and I'd still have Hopkins above Dawson at LHW.

The Floyd - Cotto and Floyd - Pac arguements have been done to death so I'll agree to disagree with you on those.

Re Hopkins and Dawson though. Dawson looked good yeah against Adamek - the Johnson fight was close (correctly scored IMO but close nonetheless). I think Hopkins would have too much in terms of ring savvy against a Dawson that relies heavily on movement and a jab. Hopkins wont stalk him the way Johnson did which I though was Johnson's ultimate downfall. Dawson will have to come to Hopkins to make him fight rather than counter or meet him in the middle of the ring. Havent seen Dawson deal with someone who is that good defensively yet. He looks like he may be good in a year or two, but right now I have an ageing Hopkins having Chad's number
