We would be doing ourselves as fans a diservice... One thing is having fighters that are stars or mega-stars to the mainstream with huge following on PPV, but to have two guys with not very big followings on PPV is just disgraceful. What's next, any potentially good fight on PPV?? :verysad
From a hardcore fans perspective sure... But I can't even get 3 people excited to come watch this fight. With fighters like Canelo, Pacquiao, Mayweather, ODLH its an event, a fight party.
I wanted to support this fight as a ppv fight because Crawford is aggressive, undefeated, and so far, willing to fight anyone. At $50 against the defensive minded clear underdog Postol though?? I gotta pass on this..
That was a loaded card. Both shouldnt have been ppv, but you got to see GGG vs Lemieux, Chocolatito, and Luis Ortiz. Cant complain.
Boxing needs to sacrifice short term profits to build the fanbase back up. PPV's and premium cable just milked an already huge fanbase but they have died off. I'd laugh if Bob Arum lost money on this.
PPV is destroying boxing............only the very biggest stars should be one PPV, neither Crawford nor Postol are huge stars. PPV is going to go up to 100 dollars, watch and see. Promoters truly believe that boxing fans are a bunch of re****ed idiots and will pay anything for any fight.................Golovkin/Alvarez was going to be $100, too much even for that fight..............when will it ever win? Only when boxing fans wake up and fight back, do not pay such huge amounts of money, quit buying PPV and the price will come way down...............
