Some guys , even when they have options, can't keep themselves out of jail.Back in the 80's there was a fierce teenage jr. middleweight named Tony Ayala. 19 years old, and already had everybodys attention.He was knocking fighters over like bowling pins.Supposedly he was going to get a fight with Duran , then he got thrown in jail for ****.He did 17 years, swearing he was reformed, had people rallying for his release, got out and resumed his career. Wasn't long before he attacked another woman, but this one shot him, and he got thrown back in jail, this time thankfully for good.17 years in stir didn't discourage his foul impulses, nor did a promising career.Some times certain folks just can't be civilized, and sometimes they just happen to be talented boxers.

 

Ayala had actually been charge with another ****, at a drive-in movie theatre, before the **** of the schoolteacher that got him sent to the clink.

I think he got out of the first one by settling out of court or pleading to a lesser charge or something.

I agree mainly with Kirkland because that was a huge dissapointment and maybe no one should be above the law but athletes in most every other sport have gotten away with worse so I think we should get one pardon, with Ibeabuchi
though the guy went bat**** and claims too see demons and such. The promoters of course **** me off, so do the multiple sanctioning bodies, the fact theres more than one belt per weight class, and fights are 12 rounds instead of 15 ...lots of fights getting stopped too early the incompetent or just paid off judges. Shitty PPV cards its always the same a bunch of prospects fighting tomato cans which despite what they think we don't watch boxing to see un-competetive ass beatings and then the main event's usually arn't worth the PPV money I mean what was that last Lopez PPV couldn't of done good and the Calderon one tomorrow will un-doubtetly bomb ...Calderon's a great fighter but no one's talking about him or ever really has all too much he still isn't well known outside the boxing hardcore fans, he's at a weight class many don't care too watch and he doesn't have any power - why on earth would they think people will pay $25-50 whatever it is to watch it. All the cancelled and delayed fights this year. The list goes on.
