yea, i was drinking while watching funny peole but from what i remember it was slow and kind of boring.
Right...it wasn't really supposed to be a comedy, dude. Neither was Punch Drunk Love (directed by the unimpeachable PTA, and yet the "worst movie you've ever seen"? :blood That has to be hyperbole..) Both are very smart and poignant films with some light comic relief built in, but don't watch them expecting a yukfest.
well, like i said i was drinking and the title kind of makes it seem like it was supposed to be a comedy maybe i should rewatch and give it a sober attempt. and yes, punch drunk love is my least favorite movie of all time, i absolutely hated everything about it
Whatever is was it went about an hour to long and was just average really. Had some funny bits and half decent performances but mostly it was no more then ok. I do feel it was most definitely supposed to be funny. It was directed by Apatow and choc full of comedians, and some celebrities taking the **** out of themselves.
Yup. I wanted to look at Wilfred Benitez's record to see when he fought Moley and I had to look on cyberbo****zone.com.
I'll have to watch Punch Drunk Love again. Haven't seen it since around the time it originally came out, when I was either 14 or 15. It didn't leave much of an impression at the time, but that's not to say with a repeated viewing it wouldn't. The reviews for the movie were actually quite good, from both the critics and most of the people I know who saw it. Haven't seen Funny People, yet. Based on what I've heard I'm not sure I want to, to be honest. Maybe it's just been the misperceptions of those going into the movie that have given it a bad name (my brother for one said it was completely unfunny, which caught him particularly off guard on the basis of the film's name). I might check it out.
Funny People isn't really a comedy, it's a drama. It's just that all of the characters happen to be comedians. Hence the title.
atsch Come on I think everyone outside of ADDIE know that one Take a 2nd look at my AVi then look at Addies
Dude, I could get a half naked picture of Winona Ryder. Oh wait, she's not a tramp and was never typecast as a sexy, latino type so there probably aren't any on the Internet. Think outside of the box, women are not defined by how big their tits are and how good they look in a bikini. Don't get me started.
Funny People doesnt know what it is...if its a comedy it failed, if its a drama it failed aswell. They are cracking jokes from start to finish in it...from that fat **** out of Superbad arguing with Rogan, to that ***gy looking dude out of Spun loving himself...Eric Bana and Sandler fighting...To those scenes where Sandler is making prank calls or parodies himself by showing clips of his characters ridiculous films. It is trying to be funny but I think its covering its bases with the unfunny themes it covers and the moody moments it has. Even the worst Rob Schiender film has these moments. My favorite part was seeing RZA at the start, in fact it starts pretty good but for me dragged on into shitness. The lower the expectations you have Pea the better you might like it, so Ill keep on rubbishing for ya.
Get off your high horse Addie...Winona has got them out in at least 2 movies I can think of. When it comes to women...I think of almost nothing but the box
