    They would be in better shape and we would have more contenders not just fat slobs who think they gon knock the other guy out because he smacked a few bums around in the club

    If you don't train properly for a 15 round fight just throwing punches and moving around alone will tire you out in order to be great you have to prepare for greatness

    It's not that it kills people, it's that most brain trauma occurs at the end of the fight. The longer the fight, the greater chance of serious brain injuries.

    Yeah though, if they fought 12 rounders back when, Tommy Hearns UD12 Ray Leonard...

    The shortening of championship fights from 15 to 12 rounds is probably the single worst change to happen to the sport in the 30 years I've been following it. Sadly, it was done at the behest of the TV networks, so that fights would fit into their time slots, so it is unlikely to be reversed.
