For some reason, you have a boxing_master-type vibe about yourself.

    The keyword is notable

    -KO Sasakul
    -KO Ledwaba
-KO Barrera (arguably his best fight)
    -KO Morales (lost to raheem)
-UD Marquez (best quadrology in sports)
    -KO Hatton (KOd by Floyd)
-KO Cotto (catchweight, Brutal beatdown by Margarito)
-UD Margarito (catchweight, KOd by Old man Mosley)

You also forgot DLH who was drained so badly it is rumored he used an IV and still came in smaller than Pac fight night.

While I agree Pac is the second best of this generation. His career was orchestrated by Arum to fight against names at opportune times. Pac looked average against Floyd which brings Pac down on my ATG list.

    floyd rich> penn rich.

i'm not anti floyd, some of the things posted on here about him are just ridiculous, but as far as him being clean for the pac fight goes, there are some serious questions that will likely never be answered£$£$£.

Manny Pacquiao was the greatest fighter since Duran. Boxing has always continued to churn out stars, and most likely will again (although the number of greats are lower in number).

With people like Khan, Brook, Lomachenko and Broner treating weight classes with little respect, we're likely to see a few actually succeed in many weight classes. But from being the Lineal Flyweight Champion to the Light Middleweight Championship against an elite in Margarito who weighed 6lbs more in the weigh in? We have no reason to think we'll see that again. A span of 10 weight classes.

Hatton was KO'd by Floyd but came back looking strong and Pac fought Hatton at Hatton's best weight, Floyd didn't. Also, Pac had no business at 140lbs and should've been flattened. It was a win that defied odds. That's why Pac gets more props than Mayweather does for that win.

As for the Cotto fight, Cotto said he felt great before and after the fight and he had no issues making weight. The 'brutal beatdown' was with plaster gloves. This was a welterweight, younger version of Cotto.

Margarito was tailor made for Mosley. It was Mosley's last great hurrah. Margarito weighed 150lbs in the weigh in, Manny weighed 144lbs. It was for the Light Middleweight title and Pacquiao just 1 year earlier was fighting at Light Welterweight (and had no business there). This fight took away Pac's prime but Margarito remained a top fighter.

Pac dominated them. It was one of the very best ever (probably the best ever actually) stretch of wins in boxing history because of the domination and the circumstances (the weight and frame disparity, the fact that Pac is an aggressive fighter and the fact that he came from Light Flyweight).

Mayweather doesn't come close to Pac in the rankings.

lol Margarito was shot, defanged and coming off of a one-year suspension when Pac fought him for a title at which neither was ranked at. All credit to Pac for beating Cotto, his best win in my eyes, but the Margarito fight was a farce.

if i layed out the next 15 years of pac's career in 2000 would you think he could achieve what he did or would you think i was some sort of fool?

since we would all think i was some sort of fool for predicting that maybe it is more unlikely than impossible, and since it's possible it's inevitable someone will do it again eventually.
