Khans fight with canelo will be test this is the first time in 5 fights under virgil he will fight a fighter with some sort of power

Khan under roach looked excellent he only looked bad with guys who could punch

with the guys khan fought with virgil i honestly feel he would even look better if he was with roach

khan against paulie and judah looked amazing under roach in some way he looked even better with roach

so against canelo we will see if virgil really improved him

we will see if the defense virgil has taught him could help him

i think virgil is an extremely intelligent trainer. he doesnt have khan as much as hed like. or as much as khan is willing to put in. add that to the fact khan is not the sharpest tool hes had to work with in terms of ring intelligence.
so can virgil really be blamed for khans lack of huge progress? (mind you he has progressed ok thus far)

Khan is soo flawed with his previous trainers that Virgil has to pretty much start from scratch. Khans balance, defence, punch selection IQ were all below par and Virgil is slowly but surely fixing these, but it takes time, especially when a fighter has been taught to do the wrong things. Its a long process but eventually Khan will show his true talent in the next couple of years.

Hunter is a trainer of the same mould as Enzo Calzaghe.

Both are average trainers who just so happened to have a fighter in this case Joe and Andre, who are an elite boxer.

Ward and Joe Calzaghe would still gave been great regardless of who trained them.

Just look at the fighters Hunter has trained besides Ward. Most if not all have regressed.

Plus with those glasses and flat cap he looks like a nonce.

Hunter is a real clown, King Khan could win in spite of him but I worry. Algeiri should have been beaten up under Roach he may have been stopped

Collazo walked at Khan hands down for 12 rounds lmao....

    and Khan didn't stop him.

Khan ain't even a true welterweight

SPENCE is what a true welter looks like.

Under Roach Canelo would stop Khan in under 6...

With Hunter he stands a better chance in going past 6.

Khan could be trained by Emanuel Steward, and I don't think it would make a difference.

I think under Roach Khan was better offensively but under Hunter Khan had started to iron out some of his defensive flaws. Under Hunter I've seen Khan counter punch for the first time ever, to clinch and tie up his opponent effectively and use a more defensive pot shot style instead of the crazy flurry of shots Khan used to throw that left him so vulnerable to being countered.

But Khan in his last fight against Algieri abandoned everything he had been taught by Hunter, it was the same old Khan, overly aggressive, no counter punching, crazy flurries etc.

I think Hunter has the knowledge to make Khan a better fighter but Khan simply doesn't have the mental discipline to stay focused on what he should be doing, he showed against Algieri that he all too quickly falls into old habits when he's not in total control.

Khan has never had power. He has never KO'd anyone. The only one on his record is Judah acting and failing to get up due to the low blow.

He get's TKO's though the flurry punching however almost everyone that he has fought has said there is no power behind his punches.
