We will see if Virgil improved Amir khan i don't think he has

Khan spent about 1 week with Virgil in this training camp. And that was mostly because the HBO crew needed to get some footage for the 24/7 episode.

 

It really wouldn't.

For a silver medalist he is as basic skills set you will ever see. His style suits the amateurs down to the ground but at true top level in the professional ranks he is found wanting.

 

There's no way of knowing whether he has improved with Hunter or not because since they teamed up his level of competition has been downright embarrassing.

 

Hunter just got lucky with Ward. Ward is a natural, Hunter just does what he is told and plays his role well.

Anybody who has watched Khan since he teamed up with Hunter knows there has been no improvement since Roach, if anything Khan has gone backwards.

 

Khan is fast, but he's predictable. Garcia and Algieri were able to time him.

Sure Khan is fast, tall, and has a long reach, but what does he do well on a technical level?

 

Khan doesn't have the ring IQ of Hearns or Lewis to be successful with Steward.

 

He's DEFINITELY improved him, but Khan has serious limitations that will never be overcome: Stupidity + No chin.

 

he looked real slow in his last fight .. if he comes in like that he is going to get plastered ....

I'm a Khan fan and i'll be going for him this weekend however sometimes I think he may have been better off sticking to his offensive strengths. Trainer and the fighter have to suit each other, Hunter & Ward are both intelligent, thoughtful, laid back kinda guys so it works for them. Khan doesn't seem to have that same temperament. I also don't like how he punches with his elbows out. He's open downstairs.

 

Khan has gone down hill since he has been with Virgil Hunter, he was much better with Roach...................Hunter is not a good trainer.................

 

Khan is from the same mould as Jermaine Taylor, very fast, very talented and athletically gifted, but lose focus real quick and start drowning in a cup of water. They don't know how to adjust, don't have a defense or a plan B in the case they might get hurt, and no matter who is training them, they have trouble following their trainer's advice. Khan looks slower than ever and looks like an average fighter under Hunter. He limits his own self.

 

Excellent................I noticed the same..................he did look slower, a lot slower. He used to be very fast and had power, but does not look the same now. I have to agree..................

 

Just go look at him on the pads with Roach.
