El Pollo Diaz has earned his name!

 

If you're into a fighter backing up and flicking out a lot of jabs (missing almost all), then Pauli got robbed.

If not, get off of this robbery nonsense.

Pauli won a few rounds clearly, especially after the cut, but Diaz was the one making Pauli's head rock back and landing cleanly to the body.

... I do like Pauli, though. Definitely wish him well in his career. I'd like to see Bradley give him a shot.

 

Diaz did the right thing here. If he cant get a fight in his home state against someone better than him he might as well fight lesser competition out of state where he can get the Win

 

Malignaggi won the fight. El Pollo Diaz is running like the chicken he really is.

As for paulie he beat him too in a very close fight 114-113( my card) A rematch would be nice but paulie has no right to cry about it, he lost a close fight get over it! Didnt see him giving H ngodjo a rematch and that was controversial. The only think that was wrong in that diaz paulie fight was the margin of victory on the scorecards, but the right guy won. Paulie at the most deserved a draw. Besides Diaz is the bigger name more exciting fighter, he can make money with Hatton,Marquez or try and avenge the loss to Campell,Diaz is the drivers seat and he deserves to be, he also has better credentials with wins over Freitas,julio diaz,Katsidis(easy win!) and former champs Lorcy,Sim and defended his title 8 times. WHile paulies claim to fame is an ass kicking loss to Hatton and only good win was against Ndou he got a gift against ngoudjo. Ill give him this he made a fight out of it against Cotto. Paulie just get on with your career and if diaz fights consider yourself lucky that you got a 2nd chance

the point is that diaz was provided a hometown gift that, although not unique in the sport, clearly and unequivocally deserves a re-do, in at least a neutral site. But, to some extent it does not matter, as diaz will get ktfo again when he faces someone who can punch.

 

I agree that should they fight again it should be somewhere neutral, maybe vegas or i think i heard chicago,but not new york they will rob diaz. LIke i said before,the win was not a gift but the scoring was bullsh*t. If diaz does get kod its gonna take more than just a puncher its gonna take a verygood fighter to do it, Campbell whos a puncher couldnt knock him out and only an atg like marquez could doit, Even a big bomber like freitas couldnt do it. BUt i think diaz should stay at light weight unless he fights a slapper like paulie who punches like a little girl. Maybe a big money fight with Hatton or rematch with marquez might be worth his while to step up to jw

 

Juan will do fine. He's an elite lightweight, he really should move back down and campaign there. He has no business at 140.

Paulie was well within his rights to seek a rematch for a close fight. And it was a close fight, but the deck was stacked against him from the get go.

But, he's no draw, he can't draw flies to **** even in New York, and atleast in Houston, Diaz can pick up 7 figures. And he's entitled to it. Diaz is always entitled to the bigger share of the purse against Paulie, because he gets viewers and asses in seats.

 

I could care less. I fell asleep in their first fight. It was that boring. Two scrubs fighting each other thats all it was. Why HBO paid to put these two boring fighters on tv is beyond me.

I hope Diaz fights Soto so he could be knocked out again.

I hope Paulie fights Devon Alexander or Juan Manuel Marquez so he'll be knocked out also.

 

There's nothing more I'd want to see that Juan Diaz go back to Bolivian, but Pacquiao is the wrong guy to do it. The kind of fights Pac-man is going for at this stage in his career are the kind of boxers which fight the likes of Paulie and Diaz as tune-ups, eg. Ricky Hatton or Miguel Cotto.

 

Meh the fight still bored me. It looked like two guys slapping each other for 12 rounds. The punches were so weak.

I disagree I see Soto destroying Diaz.

Devon Alexander would walk through Paulie like tissue paper. Devon is too skilled and has too much speed. And as he showed against Witter. A lot of power to go with those skills and speed.
