I think Sanchez was a better than average puncher. I probably exaggerated a little by calling him a good puncher. His accuracy is what made him a decent puncher. Last time i saw Lopez was a few years back at some local fights at the Quiet Cannon friendly as usual,Ruben Olivares was sitting in the same row. I know he was doing construction work, dont know if he still digs ditches that was along time ago (ialso heard that) Back when he made his second comeback, he just like to stay in shape i had heard he chose to do grunt work. I saw a HBO special on Real Sports with Chacon and Lopez about how their lives took a different path, and Lopez was said to have been making a good living. Bobby was Boozing alot recycling cans and living in Flop houses, but good new is that last i heard Bobby had gotten sober and working with less fortunate kids, although his dementia is very noticable he is always a real happy guy ,the times that i have seen him.
:good He did go down alot early on in his career but it is the guy that doesnt get up who has the bad chin. Lopez could be hurt but it was pretty hard to knock him out.
That's certainly what I remember. I saw many of Danny's fights back in the day, and would never characterize him as having a "weak" chin. He took two poundings from Sanchez, and anyone with "weak" chin would not have survived as long as Danny did in those fights.
