Other than Beterbiev I don't see any other active light heavies pulling it off. Maybe Gvozdyk from before the Beterbiev loss.
Prime Kovalev or Ward. Think Hopkins could've managed it aswell

Historically maybe Eddie Mustafa Muhammad or Antonio Tarver. Not weak fighters by any means but off the top of my head they're the weakest light heavies who I'd favour over Canelo.

From the Bivol fight alone is too hard to tell because Bivol’s pure skill made Canelo look ordinary, if you turned on boxing for the first time and saw Bivol Canelo you’d think what sort of mismatch am I watching here.

Not gonna say Beterbiev for the sake of it as it defeats the purpose of the question so I’ll say Ben Whittaker.

All of the top 175'rs should since Canelo is more like a natural MW or less, just roided up.

You could see even in the Kovalev fight that against a big 6ft guy who had speed and excellent boxing ability it was hard for him to do much because of his lack of range and not being that fast footwise. Obviously Kovalev gassed and got remarkably KO'd there. But he was doing it pretty easy until then.

I think people forget that Golovkin isn't very big even at MW, he's under 5'10 and didn't even look much taller than Canelo. Bivol showed that just with that extra size it was hard for Canelo.

Meh, Canelo is too small for 175.

Not saying he's the weakest, but Kalajdzic would have lit Canelo up imho.

Historically? There's dozens upon dozens..............I'll name one because it's no fun seeing the same names over and over:

Frank Tate, not saying he's weak but a weaker "name" guy

Canelo is too small for 175. Bivol size combined with his speed and stamina are just too much to overcome. I'd favor Yarde as well if he comes with the same focus as the Beterbiev match

Size matters you dumb asses.. Kovalev came for the pay check. Most light heavies KO Canelo. Bivol was happy in 1st gear against him

The Canelo from the Bivol fight gets beat as comprehensively by all the guys you mentioned. Those guys are levels above, Ryder, and the other guys CA beat leading up to Bivol. Canelo was just walking forward, loading up shots. Can't do that with those guys.
