Featherweight is the strongest division in boxing right now with Mares, John, Garcia, and with Donaire, Rigo, and Lomen in the horizon.
Lt Heavy had been pretty dry, but just got opened wide up by Stevenson and Kovalev. Lotta good fights to be made there all of a sudden (and there'd be even more if Shumenov could find his fukkin lost glove). Cruiser's always been a bit of a funny division, 'cos really it's a division for HWs who ain't quite big enough which makes it a bit of a joke - specially 'cos anyone who's really good fukks off to HW at the first opportunity. Plenty of great fighters and fights at the lowest divisions, specially internationally (far east in particular) - they just don't seem to get the attention. Then there's always the question of what's meant by weak - for me a competetive division is far more interesting than one that has just one or two guys so exceptional that perfectly good opponents are simply outclassed.
Well.. Mares, Rigo, Garcia, and Donaire are all p4p material who are at the top 10 p4p ranks or are nearing it. Then you have John, a long reigning champion, Lom, the best amateur of recent times, and the other belt holders.. what other division has this star power?
