What about Klinchko? His WBO run makes Wilders resume look like the stuff legends are made from. Cherry picked shot to oblivion 90's era Ray Mercer.. Cherry picked past it 90's contender Sanders and got pancacke'd in two rounds. Then fled in fear from the rematch.
He walked this Earth like a god. Lol what a joke he was. There couldn't have been an easier path to a title for Joshua.
Herbie Hide would eat that lot and Parker for breakfast. He was outboxing Riddick Bowe, until the massive size difference made the difference in about the 5th round or something. Absolutely no way Parker could do that.
I'm sure he'd outbox Parker too until a light gust of wind off a missed Parker jab rendered him David Priced.
Two things: - you don't fluke a twelve round decision over anyone. - you don't intentionally hold back on an opponent in a title fight, ever
Hide had a chin made of pure refined amirkhanium. He's not lasting against an iron jawed slugger like Parker under any circumstances.
Fair enough. Nothing is a fluke. Bentt knocking the **** out of Morrison is NO FLUKE. George Foreman often held back in his 'second career'. And no surprise he did so against a guy who was almost killed by Ray Mercer, a medium puncher. The WBO title wasn't taken at all seriously anyway. Everyone knew Bowe was the real champion, and a very few thought Lewis had a claim. NO ONE thought Foreman v Morrison was for a legit world title.
I'm not completely sold that Parker is much better than Martin. He struggled with H. Fury and Andy Ruiz, who are both less proven than Glazkov, who got stopped by Martin. Parker would get run over by Joshua, Wilder, or Ortiz. I think even Lucas Browne would beat Parker. Parker's team needs to be very selective with his opposition if they want him to stay a titleholder.
I never said it was, though it's far more likely to 'fluke' a win by catching a guy cold than by outpointing them over the distance, i.e. you're more likely to get upsets that way. At any rate, I don't think there are any real flukes in boxing barring injuries and other random stuff that's out of a fighter's control. If a guy gets knocked out then he gets knocked out. Foreman might have said that he held back in his comeback career, but in my opinion that was a load of bunk to hide his declined abilities. At the end of the day he was still a professional boxer, and not giving it his all would have cost him millions in potential earnings. He didn't beat Morrison because Morrison was smarter than him, fresher than him and able to outbox him, which he did.
Glazkov didn't get stopped by Martin. He blew out his knee. Have you even seen the fight? Glazkov wasn't even that good to begin with. Should have got a loss to Malik Scott, another loss to Derrick Rossy, and possibly a third loss to Steve Cunningham.
I think people should hold fire, Parker was trying to fight a man that didn't want to actually fight, it is so hard to look good against that type of opponent. For example, everybody was hyper over Luis Ortiz, he was going to beat Joshua apparently and Hearn was avoiding making a fight with him. After the Malik Scott fight he was a "hype job", "got old" and was "never that good anyway". Similar type of situation in my opinion. Parker will be better against better opponents, against fighters who want to actually fight.
