P.s. What then would your analysis on PBF be?

P.s.s. I had a more complete answer for the PBF one, which delt with his weakneses in terms of body type and physical make-up, ready on one of my last posts but it got deleted right before I posted it. You might understand my reasoning a bit better if you saw it. But as I have to go to sleep at some point, that will have to wait for another day.

pacquiao - porous defense, larger boxers w/ speed, movement and elite counter-punching skills, dirty fighters

jmm - like his bro, rafa, has a suspect chin, has become more aggressive lately and as a result, has become more hittable

juan diaz - great punchers w/ speed and movement

calzaghe - bigger boxers w/ elite counter-punching skills who hold a lot

PBF - Brittle hands, lacks the power and some of the combinations he enjoyed at lower weights.

Miguel Cotto - Better chin at the higher weight but I'd still like to see him in against a puncher like Cintron, defence isn't water tight so he'll be hit hard at some point.

Kermit Cintron - Relies heavily on his power, he'll find trouble against anyone slick or tough enough to avoid it.

Ricky Hatton - Partly himself, his lifestyle has taken a toll on his body, and cut into his best asset, his stamina. Style wise he'd probably always be vulnerable to rangy boxers who can control the distance with good movement and counterpunching, but now he's vulnerable to guys who carry power late as well imo.

Mosley - Very solid, consistent, technical fighters, rangy, solid jabs, difficult matchup.

JMM - Not quite as sharp as he's been in the past, so he counters less and fights more, still dangerous, but I think speedier, technically sound boxers could give him trouble, still carries solid power, so a speedy swarmer like Pacquiao (who has a bit of skill) will be able to make him 'fight', but will need to prove his toughness.

PAcquiao - Tough boxers, with size/reach advantage, since he lacks adaptability but technically he's been improving, vulnerable to big punchers as well.

Juan Diaz - An agressive swarmer, but perhaps not the biggest puncher, his style lacks longevity due to the reliance on massive workrate covering up technical deficiencies. As others have mentioned his style will not match up as well against larger opponents.

Vladimir Klitshko - Lack of upper body/head movement (one of the reasons he's gone down so much, makes his chin appear weaker than it could otherwise be), heavy reliance on tieing up opponents > lack of infighting ability, more mentally fragile than other boxers.

Joe Calzaghe - Brittle hands/injury prone, underestimates lesser opponents. Unorthodox in a way that makes him hittable on occasions.

Bernard Hopkins - Far past prime, he'd likely lose to several younger contemporary light heavies. Still technically sound but sheer differences in speed and workrate could be enough to defeat him at this stage.

Kelly Pavlik - Defensively vulnerable, offensively solid but still not as fast or sharp as he could be. He can be stopped, and he can be outboxed, but boxer or puncher the opponent needs a solid chin and a good workrate doesn't hurt either.

I like most of what u said. But I disagree with your views on Pac. Specifically the part about him being vulnerable to a big puncher. I seriously doubt that he will get beat by a big puncher because he is too fast and carries too heavy a punch himself. Most big punchers have to sit down on there shots to generate the power. This makes them slower and more stationary then Pac, who uses his foot work, speed, and natural strength to generate his power. I look at fights between two punchers like I look at a gun fight. Both could lose, but the guy with the better gun is probably going to win. And right now there isn't anyone out there whose packin more heat then Pac.
