WEC 46 Varner vs. Henderson Discussion Thread. SPOILERS

That knee landed no doubt. Can't say I am a big fan of Varner either. Guy should have tried to fight off the guillotine at least a little.

 

Every division in WEC is stacked.

Cerrone, Varner and Henderson will probably pass the LW title around for a while.

Bowles-Cruz will be excellent, and there are plenty of credible BW contenders for the winner.

Aldo-Faber will be out of this world, and there are plenty of credible FW contenders for the winner.

 

Dude the thought of Faber-Aldo has my dick hard but not in a ***gy way :yep I dont get Versus but dude ill break into someones house if I have to im not missing that fight.

 

I've read they are looking to put that fight on PPV.

We've been spoiled on free top-notch cards, hopefully WEC stays the course.

 

You can watch the FOTN (Campuzano vs Wheeler) on the Versus website. We didn't get to see much of Campuzano in his last fight as Page beat him quick. He seems like a talented young guy, one to keep an eye on.

Ive never said this about a PPV but **** I hope it is so I dont have to watch it a day later like I did Sundays WEC fights. Hopefully its only like 30 bucks but id honestly pay 50 for this fight. Hopefully Zuffa isnt reading this.

 

i think Cerrone will win the rematch too. i felt he won the first and can easily see where he let some rounds slip away.

 

I'm sorry, dude, but I'm not sure God has made a person that was easier to dislike. I remember hopin' Razor Rob creams him but unfortunately it wasn't to be. There's something about that ****er . . . but it ain't just me cuz everybody else in the world hates him, too. I just thought me and my boy from work were the only ones. I'm sure he's probably a good guy but . . . **** him.

So f'n true. So f'n true. The guy's ****in' tough as nails and doesn't seem to get rattled or lose his resolve. It makes me thik that he could have gotten out of that guillotine he slapped on Varner. Anyway, Cowboy's my favorite WEC fighter so you know where my allegiance lies but shout out to Henderson regardless.

That is the way it appeared but I don't know if he had the tools to do it. I'm am of the opinion, though, that a man should never tap out due to a guillotine while standing. That usually means that he didn't run through all available options before callin' it quits. I'm not sayin' that's what happened here but . . .

I'm not a Varner fan but I also don't hate the kid. That knee clearly landed but Cerrone (who I am a fan of) shouldn't have put him in a situation to end a fight like that. Remember guys Varner didn't make the rule and its in place for a reason.

 

Actually after his "I came to fight, he came to grapple" comment, I am not a huge Varner fan at the moment.

What a ****ing stupid thing to say after a championship MMA fight, especially when you are shooting for takedowns.

 

I agree on the standing Guillotine I have no problem tapping to it ala Miletich-Renzo but do what Miletich did and atleast try to defend it like you said run through the options. This isnt like a Peruvian Neck Tie where there is little room to escape. I question heart when a experienced guy like that panics and taps to Guillotine.
