    Bowles vs Page is a good scrap. Both men came out trying to make the fight. Decent kickboxing exchanges interspersed with a few sprawls and scrambles for ground position.

    Bowles almost cinches an early guillotine attempt. Second time is the charm as he looks the guillotine in while Page is standing to get away from the fence. Page tries to slam him but Bowles' hold is too tight.

    Tapout round 1. Bowles via Guillotine.

    Wow. Just wow. Hicks was eating flush knees and flush right hands for about a straight minute. That was almost stomach turning it was so nasty to watch.

    Good ****ing lord, what a beating.

    Varner just hit Hicks with about 15 full power knees and straight rights before finally finishing him off, what a chin on Hicks, but goddamn that was insane. Varner looked very good, very accurate and good defensive wrestling after the first 2 takedowns.

    On a side note, I like how they say Varner is 5'8 and Hicks is 5'7. Then to the two stand in front of each other, and Varner is at least 3 or 4 inches taller.

    I can't believe the ref let that fight go on as long as he did. Hicks was getting punished at the end.

    He somehow managed to stand back up while taking that beating, so I'm guessing Mazzagatti was giving him the benefit of the doubt. He may need a hospital now, though. He took a frickin' beating.

    I'll watch, tuning in at the end of the 1st fight.

    just saw the replay of that KO. he froze up when he took that first knee.

    Magnanimous words from Varner in his post-fight interview. nice of him to give props to Hicks. Varner is class all the way.

    Nothing out of the first round yet! lol, oh and that beating was terrific (unless of course you are Hicks) I'm surprised Mazz didn't stop it I was yelling at my TV the last 10 punches !
