What a load of bull****. Miura took a knee, fell on his face, got hit on the ear and just continued to lay there.
probably an exaduration as far as the asian guy goes but Muira wasn't given the chances Condit was. Condit did alot of laying trying to improve postion and not being able too. Anytime Muira was on top it was about 10 seconds before the ref said he was gonna stand it on them, then about 10 seconds later he did I think twice. Condit got to lay on him until Muira reversed it. That knee was week as hell too, it was more from exaustion then hurt. Watch it again its on in maybe another half hour.
I had Muira winning the fourth also which would have been 2-2 the last round being the deciding round. With less then 30 seconds the ref should have let the round end.
Condit was reversed when he was in a dominate position, past the guard, Muira was stood up from the guard, yes it was fast, but one was from the guard and one was past it. It doesn't matter why a fighter isn't intelligently defending himself, just that he isn't, and not only is the amount of time left in a round not a reason to not enforce the rules, the ref does not know exactly how much time is left in a round.
I don't have a problem so much with the stoppage, I could just tell they wanted their champ to win, bottom line. I think maybe they should have let it go abit longer but it is what itis I guess. Its not like he was being hurt by those massive bombs that where getting dropped on his head/ears lol. Are you telling me that it didn't seem like Muira had to fight alittle harder when on the bottom then Condit did? When Muira was on top it just didn't seem like he was getting time to work/improve position, like Condit was given.
He definatly got shorted on the standups, but I don't think saying that Condit should have also been stood up is reasonable, just that Miura should have had more time.
Miura didn't seem to complain and was gassed, but the fight did seem to show Condit some favoritism. Not a total disgrace, but I would want to see a rematch with a different ref.
