Not as many finishes as you would hope for, but the technique, speed, and stamina of the smaller guys was great. Cruz is impressive, seems to have all aspects of the game. Pettits looked rather violent, and I think Jorgensen has sealed up a title shot.
The WEC is ALWAYS good! It is, by far, my favorite organization. I've never, not once been disappointed by a WEC event. They're insane!
The next card is absurdly stacked. Jose Aldo (c) vs. Manvel Gamburyan Miguel Torres vs. Charlie Valencia Jamie Varner vs. Donald Cerrone Chan Sung Jung vs. George Roop Leonard Garcia vs. Mark Hominick Mike Brown vs Cole Province Ed Ratcliff vs. Chris Horodecki Antonio Banuelos vs. Chad George Alex Karalexis vs. Zhang Tie Quan Clint Godfrey vs. Demetrious Johnson
dominic cruz has pretty good elusiveness, though his movement is good for mma he is rarely in a position to counter and misses with most of his counterstrikes, often wildly. His takedown abillity is amazing and has a ton of heart, that knee that cut open the bridge of his nose looked painful, he did well to fight through it. Cruz has fighting intelligence like taking down his opponent at the end of the round to finish strong- smart. I was impressed I would like to see him fight faber or torres.
after watching pettis with his top of the line flashy striking and amazing submissions/sub defense i honestly feel he will beat Bendo and go on to be the next big thing.
