I've always wondered why some people were bitching about the weight, saying it should've been at 140. Pac has the title at 147. Why in the ****ing world would a WW fight take place at 140? It's not like Marquez has a title at 140, either. Pac haters are amazing. Pac gets flak for asking a 145 lb. catchweight against Cotto and then for doing Marquez a favor by making the fight at 144.

He wasn't doing Marquez a favour at all, he usually weighs in around the 144lb mark for welterweight fights with De La Hoya and Cotto.

How does that compare to asking Cotto to drop when he's struggling to even make welterweight and look good?

No one knows how JMM will perform at this weight. For all we know, he'll be better.

Against Mayweather the weight was artificial, but it's now solid, legitimate muscle, and he's also had time to make that muscle loose, flexible, & aerobically efficient. For all we know, JMM will walk into that ring as the best fighter he's ever been.

Pac should still destroy him, due to his speed, but I'm not ruling anything out. If JMM can get Pac into a corner and land (esp to the body) then he has a chance.

How is that not doing Marquez a favor? Like I said, this fight is for the WW title. 144 is good enough of a catchweight.

And how do you know Cotto was struggling to make weight? He weighed in at 146 against Clottey. 145 was the catchweight. No one was bitching about Cotto being weight-drained except maybe for *****s. Failed attempt to make Pac bad, Pac hater.

Also, technically, Pacquiao had to drop weight because he's been fighting at the WW limit for two years now, so yes, it is comparable to Cotto being asked to drop below 147.

Well haters do what they do best... Hatin.

And that 145lbs CW against Cotto? It's a pound shy from Cotto's previous fight.

This fight should be good after watching JMM conditioning.

Miguel Cotto weighted 146lbs against Clottey. Get your facts straight.

Pacquiao looked good as usual. Marquez looks better then I expected. Lean and strong, not overly ripped, but not flabby like he was against Mayweather.

    ^^ Exactly
And look up pictures from the cotto/pac weigh in vs the cotto/marg weigh in

Cotto looked 5x better because he took the time to make weight properly and hired a nutritionist and S&C coach.

Cotto was better physically in that fight than any previous version...just check the pics and read his interviews leading up to the fight

This fight should have been at light welter, Make it a little more competitive, but oh well, we'll see another beat down by Marquez.
