I'm curous what would both guys weigh at fight time.

If Diaz gains a lot, that could pose some problems.

Someone forgot to tell fighters like Felix Trinidad, Chico Corrales and Julian Jackson about this rule. All some of the hardest punchers p4p.

Power especially from the punch is much more complex than simply having big legs, there are so many factors involved.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Trinidad doesn't actually look big but he does hit a lot harder than his bigger (by the look) opponents.

Besides, Pac and Diaz are supposed to weigh almost the same weight in those pics. So Pacman may look smaller but he does weigh almost the same with Diaz in those pics.

Condider how each has dehydrated though, Diaz should come in a lot heavier come fight time. I would say a good 8 - 10lb's heavier.
I remember seeing David Reid and Hopkins against Trinidad, both were much bigger guys who wuld surely have weighed more come fight time.

It's good to remember that fighters only weigh their actual fight weight a few days a year. Every other day they are a good 10 - 25lb's heavier (maybe 40lb in the case of Ricky Hatton!). The fighters with the biggest advantage are the ones that can cut the most weight.

It will be really interesting to see where Pac goes from here (after the Diaz fight), now that the lightweights really do have a good advantage over him physically.

No. Pacquiao has massive calves and thicker legs. They are just built differently. The 135 pounds has to go somewhere. :smoke:smoke
