How do they gain 10-20 pounds in one day? Any experts please explain. What do they eat?

It's not a case of them eating to gain weight- most of the time they intentionally dehydrate themselves. You'd be suprised how much water in your body weighs. As for weigh ins on the same day- health and safety prevents it and I'm 100% behind it. I don't wanna see two dehydrated, unhealthy guys fighting each other and see someone get seriously hurt.

Starving and dehyrdating themselves a few days leading up to the fight. They eat and drink after making weight, and some fighters have doctors inject them with IVs.

It's a process. Usually 2-3 days before the weigh in. Dieting mainly and sauna/running to sweat it out as well.
