My Name Is James And I've Been Following Boxing Seriously Since December 2005 And Now Im Looking To Get Into Boxing....i've Always Done Some Cardio And I Wanted To Know A Good Weight To Start At...im 5'9 And I Weigh About 156lbs..my Body Fat Was Tested At 13% Right Now....i Have Done Some Research And I Think I Would Fight At 141 And 132 In The Ametuers...

What Weight Class Would Be Better For Me....could I Make Weight At 132???

Everyone is different. Get into good shape and see what weight you are comfortable at.

Just go and be healthy and learn the skills first, that's more important. End up where you may. Even shedding a bit of fat you may end up as just a 141 pounder, and walk around a few pounds over that. Just start out, learn the skills, you only really need to make weight for tournaments anyway.

If you're 13% body fat now, I can't see you making 132. You'd have to lose a fair bit of muscle as well as fat.
