Even just at the time they met.

For example, you could argue that Sugar Ray Robinson and Kid G are the two best welterweight of all time head to head, or were at the time they met.

Are there any other examples? Remember, not on your personal list, just arguably.

No doubt, it could be. If you feel it is, what does that do for Ezzard's pound for pound rating?

    Ezzard Charles against Archie Moore
    Muhammad Ali against George Foreman
Sandy Saddler against Willie Pep (but I rate Salvador Sanchez as the number 1)

I'll think of some more give me a moment

That's a good one, would you argue that it was possible that Saddler was #1 head to head then?

Who do you, and who does everyone else see beating Saddler?

I know what you mean, if you were including that, you could also include Johnson v Jeffries.

I think Saddler has got one of the strongest case's for being number 1

Of the top of my head I'd pick Sanchez over him, who would you pick over him

You could argue Ali & Holmes on paper.

Wilde & Villa at flyweight deserves a mention, though I'm not informed enough about the all-time standing on the division to say it was a possible 1 v 2 all-time H2H contest - probably not.

    Jones-Calzaghe at SMWT

Those 2 are the best to have fought in that division in its short history IMO, the actual time they met wasnt a primes match tho but at least they met.

I don't have a p4p rating but I know roughly where to put them. Moore is a lock fot the Top20, you can even go as far and say he is Top10. So, the wins over Moore are terrific for Charles. I think he should be Top5.

I think Ezzard is #5 myself. Imagine Ali beating Louis thrice?
