Before that you have Greb Tunney and Tunney Loughran.

Amazing isn't it? This is the main reason i have Charles as my #1 LHW: beating a definite top5 in a talent-stacked division, and arguably even all-time king in that division, not once but three times, man... who can lay claim to that? As much as i like Spinks, Tunney, Greb, Moore and Foster... NO ONE can claim to have done the same or even something similar.

In fact, i'm wondering if anyone in ANY weight class has accomplished a similar feature?

Top 5 as it stands now? Negative, that's got to be a unique achievment.

Somebody give an example that is "arguably, arguably" - Jones vs Toney? Or would that require a third "arguably"?

Funnily enough the Charles-Moore fights were thought to be impressive on Archie's part during the early 1950's because Moore had given then heavyweight champion Ezzard Charles a lot of trouble.

Beat me to it. But Charles-Moore is as good. Then you've got Spinks who arguably (love the power of that word) cancels them all out.

I don't believe Harada-Jofre has been mentioned yet.

Watanabe-Roman is in with a fringe shout, but Tapia's my number one anyway.

I think Charles vs Moore and Saddler vs Pep are the closest. Greb vs Tunney is right up there and Benitez vs Hearns at 154.
