Will the fact the Oscar has had to come down to welter help Manny? I know looking at the two their seems a gulf in size, but could the fact that DLH has had to starve himself actually help Manny? Your thoughts please.

No IMHO the weight is not a factor at all, People are simply forgetting or ignoring the fact that De La Hoya weighed in for his fight against Steve Forbes at 150, taking off an extra three pounds since is not going to hurt Oscar he has slowley been comming down in weight, so in my opinion weight is not a factor at all.

if DLH fades in this fight that is becuase DLH fades and Manny did the work to put him there, if he losses that is becuase Manny came in with a better game plan and prevailed.

Did anyone else notice that DLH's face seemed less drained in the latest 24/7 show versus the previous shows?

I didn't realise that Oscar was 150 for the Forbes fight. Good point, if that's the case as they say a good big un should always beat a good little un.

I dont think that Oscar is haing any problems with weight, he has been on weight for a long time and that spells trouble for Pac. I think the only shot he had was if Oscar had a hard time making weight and cam in sluggish, and slower.

Oscar has looked good on the 24/7 series however this is all edited as well so lets not get carried away here. However The way he performed with Forbes in his last fight says Oscar is far from shot, the man had a great work pace that night, and IMO he will have one tomorrow.

Honeslty I think Manny is in trouble they have been giving DLH **** from the start, Freddy talking **** consistantly isnt going to help matters most who talk **** about Oscar bring out the best of Oscar including Mayweather Jr, Speaking of, Notice How manny is suddenly throwing Money out there? I think Manny is trying to be a bit like Floyd these days.

I do think droppig to 147 will hurt Oscar. I'm a bit of a skeptic that Oscar actually came all the way down to 150 against Forbes. Given the situation under which that fight was held, I think there was less "strictness" involved with the weigh-in.

Oscar's been saying ever since he lost to Hopkins that he could easily make 147, yet never did, despite all the big money fights that could've been made at that weight. I suspect he'll be slightly weight drained, despite the best diuretics money can buy with some IV help.

That said, I think the weight gain for Pacquiao will also hurt him. Carrying that extra bulk will drain his fight stamina-(sparring and running around on track is not an accurate measure of your fight stamina).

Unless Oscar milks Pacquiao like the bloated cow he is, this fight should end within two rounds. It's all about bone structure, Oscar's fists are nearly twice Manny's. Manny doesn't have a defensive style that he'll avoid much of Oscar's assault, even if Oscar lacks his normal power due to the weight drain and has a weaker chin as a result of the weight drain, he's still too big to lose to Manny. The fights a farce. Manny's really a 130lb fighter and Oscar's really a 154lb fighter, this is sad. I love boxing, but I can't bring myself to watch this *******ization of the sport. At best it'll be like a watching a car crash. It be one thing if Manny had defensive style that could nullify the unfair power of the bigger man, but he's a straight ahead warrior, and Oscar's not exactly a **** poor fighter.

I'm most dissapointed in the so called "knowledgable fans" and boxing media for even going along with idea this fight will be competive. Shame on those folks. We're all hungry for a big fight, but this is just a freak show that involves boxing gloves, an insecure multi-millionare, and a little guy who's tricked himself into thinking he has a chance, with both men covered in blood sucking leeches.

I'm afraid Manny's out of true friends. Everyone's building him up, and he's beliving the hype. After this is over, he might feel betrayed. Let's just say it's good Freddie Roach is cashing out now.

All depends how Oscar is making the weight. If he's struggling, then it's going to help. Either way, it is better for Manny for this fight to be at 147lbs than 154lbs.

Just caught the last episode of 24/7 Honestly I didnt want to say it in the previous episode but to me Manny Pacquiao looks very flat and sort of sluggish, his footwork just looks off, he doesnt have the same snap in his shots, while DLH seemingly looks sharp on his toes and has plenty of speed and zip in his shots.

Freddy might be having Manny look like just for the series as I beleive Oscar rigged the scale during the series and walked on the tract to get into the minds of Pacquiao and his camp.

that final part of the show where Freddy speaks, Honestly Freddy is worried, he knows his guy is in deep water right now, I Think Freddy assumed DLH would take Manny lightley but as it appears that, that is not the case Freddy might be shitting on himself as we speak.

I say by about 7 or 8 rounds DLH should have stuck a fork in him. pac will look good in the first couple rounds though But the size will play a big role into this fight much quicker than Manny thinks.
