weight gain, and food consumption betwen weigh in and fight time

    Does't compete but says he will in the future having some down time as hes been doing it all his life

    seen as though everyone is messing about ill give you a serious answer.
    if you were fighting at catchweight and you were weighed 24+ hours before the bout and you may of had to seriously diet and dehydrate a day or so before the weigh which is what a lot of the lads are doing.
    i would expect you to eat as much as possible for the remainder of the day but pay special attention to high& low g.i carbohydrates for the first meal to restore glycogen levels a.s.a.p. at this point a good serving of protein is also a must. for rehdration you need to consume about 4l of water through the day, also supplement with electrolytes (or a mix thereof).
    the night before you are looking to stuff your face with as much low g.i carbs as poss. glycogen levels should now be up and you would be looking to store the carbs.
    on fight day,start again with a high carb meal i.e porridge, then the next meal after that wants to be a 60/30/10. try and have a final high carb meal. and then load up on maltodextrin about 2-3 hours before the fight. not forgeting fluid throughout the day.
